New Westminster Museum and Archive
New Westminster, BC
2014 completion

Role: Designer and Project Manager
This project shepherded a small municipal history museum from a tiny heritage house into a new downtown civic center. Under the curatorial direction from museum staff, the design team developed spatial concepts and exhibit strategies to shape the story of New West into a compelling visitor experience. Tall walls on either side of a centre aisle are covered in large-scale graphics and march through the museum space giving physical structure to the city's story. Double-sided glass cases provide glimpses back and forth through time. Significant large-scale artifacts like a Model-T Ford or 12' long model of the Patullo Bridge are given prominent position on large plinths that help to anchor both the space and the story.
